New registrar, Domain Name Service, will not allow registration for the domain www.click.com as the domain registration details contain a .COM extension.
Domain Name Registration Authority of India, DNSSEC, on Thursday told The Hindu that the extension “does not belong to us”.
“Domain name extension is not allowed by DNSSec.
The extension is only valid for domain name registration,” DNSSE said in a statement.
The domain registration for www.www.click does not belong either to DNSSe or to us, the Registrar said.
The registration for this domain is being held for three months.
DNSSeles has not received any notification from any party related to the domain name extension, it said.
It said the extension will be allowed only for domain names registered under a valid domain name system.
DNSCA is working with the domain registrar to resolve this issue.
