The government is offering to buy domain names for you, but only if you can pay up for them.
Fox News has learned that the government is asking for up to $500,000 to purchase domains for its “private sector” employees.
It’s unclear if the offer is related to the IRS scandal.
The IRS is currently under investigation for possible violations of the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA).
Fox News was not able to confirm that this is the case.
The offer comes on the heels of a string of bad news for the IRS and the IRS’ own internal investigations into the agency.
The agency is under investigation by the Senate Finance Committee for using a tool known as “The Washington Post” to target conservative groups with “Tea Party” in their names.
The agency is also under investigation over a potential targeting of conservative groups and individuals.
